Alarcon’s clinical interests include the management of multi-system trauma, acute care surgery, and elective general surgery. He also has a Master of Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University.ĭr. Alarcon received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at UPMC. He is the vice president for medical affairs at UPMC Presbyterian and is a professor of surgery and critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
